Research overview

KPV Pen

A three-amino-acid peptide studied in peptide transport and inflammatory-signalling models.

What is it?

KPV is the tripeptide lysine-proline-valine. Its short name comes from the one-letter codes for those amino acids.

What does the research explore?

Researchers have studied KPV uptake through the PepT1 transporter in cultured intestinal and immune cells, alongside mouse models of intestinal inflammation.

How to interpret the evidence

These cell and animal experiments do not demonstrate a treatment benefit or establish a personal-use regimen for a retail product.

Study findings apply to the material and experimental conditions used by the researchers. They do not show that a PepVision product produces the same effects, or establish a personal-use dose.
