Laboratory reconstitution guide
Reconstitution means dissolving a dry material to prepare a solution. The correct solvent and conditions depend on the peptide and the assay.
Before preparing a solution
- Confirm the identity, lot, labelled amount and supplier instructions.
- Check the solvent and target concentration specified by your validated laboratory procedure.
- Check solubility on a small portion where the procedure requires it.
- Record the actual final volume, concentration, solvent and preparation date.
- Label and store the solution according to the material-specific instructions.
There is no universal water volume or shelf life for every peptide. This guide does not provide injection instructions.
